JKPSCC to suspend strike till Independence Day | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Aug 11: JK Private Schools Coordination Committee (JKPSCC) in its executive body meeting expressed gratitude and extended thanks to all the private schools of Jammu province for keeping their institutions closed in response to the call given in the support of Private Schools of district Kathua. President JKPSCC Rameshwar Manhas and working president Dr Hari Dutt Shishu also expressed satisfaction on the decision of CEO Kathua for opening the lock of the schools on the intervention of Director Schools Education under the Direction of Divisional Commissioner, which was the main issue and was being opposed by the schools. Meanwhile, the JKPSCC unanimously resolved to suspend the strike till August 15 and asked all the schools to participate in this national festival. However, it was also decided to take the next course of action after thorough review of the situation after August 15 and with the consultation of Kathua unit of private schools. Meanwhile, Kathua unit has decided to hold a meeting of the civil society tomorrow to apprise them about the factual position and final decision with regard to the agitation shall be taken thereafter. However, they also decided to participate in the Independence Day celebrations. |
