Early Times Report KISHTWAR, Aug 11: Health Department along with ICPS officers of Kishtwar observed National Deworming day with the theme "Worm Free Children Are Healthy Children", today at Government Middle School Semna colony Kishtwar. Block Medical Officer Kishtwar, Dr Ghansham Singh, Protection Officer Non-Institutional Care (ICPS) Kishtwar, Touseef Iqbal Butt, Legal Cum Probationary Officer (ICPS) Kishtwar, Basharat Nazir, RBSK team of Block Kishtwar, led by Dr Nazir Hussain, Dr Shehnaz and paramedical staff of the team attended the programme. An awareness programme was organized by Health Department, regarding the sensitization of deworming to children and teachers and demonstrated to them the ways of washing hands before taking meals and using the toilet and also instructed about the benefits of cleanliness. Besides this, ICPS department on the occasion made aware the children and staff of the school about the introduction of Integrated Child Protection Scheme in Jammu and Kashmir state and its different schemes for the protection and care of children including sponsorship scheme for poorest of the poor and orphans. |
