Kashmir Private hospitals, NHM, SHS sign MoU | | | Early Times Report Srinagar, Aug 11: MoU was signed between State Health Society, National Health Mission, J&K and Private Hospitals included Khyber Medical Institute, Florence Hospital and Noora Hospital, Srinagar for achieving desired objective of conducting surgical procedures of children between 0-18 years of age suffering from various Health conditions classified under Rashtriya Bal Swasthya Karyakaram (RBSK) scheme under NHM. The MoU specially signed for those, who otherwise are not able to get timely treatment due to long waiting period/non-referral in Public Health Institutions. The MoU was signed between representatives of the Private Hospitals and Dr. Mohan Singh, Mission Director, National Health Mission, J&K at Srinagar. The States of Tripura and Rajasthan have already empanelled and signed MoU with Private Hospitals under RBSK and the decision of empanelling Private Hospitals in J&K for providing surgical interventions to the identified children as per the costing of surgical package mentioned in Procedure and Model Costing guidelines of Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Govt. of India was taken in the Executive Committee meeting of the State Health Society, NHM, J&K held under the Chairmanship of Dr Pawan Kotwal, Principal Secretary to Govt. H&ME Department. Various Health conditions are covered under RBSK for Surgical procedures which include Neural Tube Defect, Cleft Lip and Cleft Palate, Talipes (Club Foot), Developmental Dysplasia of the hip, Congenital Cataract, Congenital Heart diseases, Retinopathy of Prematurity, Otitis Media, Rheumatic Heart Disease, Dental Diseases, Vision Impairment and Hearing Impairment and others. Different Health Institutions shall treat and manage different health conditions out of the above mentioned health conditions depending upon their specialty as mentioned in their MoU. |
