| JTC, SKF discuss issues of inmates | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 11: A joint meeting of Jagti Tenement Committee (JTC) and Soan Kashmir Front (SKF) J&K was held here today at Jagti Nagrota under the Chairmanship of Shadi Lal Pandita, President, JTC/SKF (J&K).
The meeting was attended by office bearers and members. During the course of meeting the participants discussed various issues including the issues of those single/two soul families whose children after having married had sought bifurcation leaving the old aged parents alone to live miserably.
Presently such single/two soul relief holder families are being paid financial assistance of 3250/- per soul per month.
In this connection the participants have said that such old aged single/two soul families are confronted to lot of sufferings as due to advanced age such incumbents have developed multiple ailments, like kidney problems, heart problems, diabetic problems, Hypertension problems and so on who are unable to manage their domestic needs and medical expenses with this meager financial assistance which has resulted that a good number of such migrants have untimely breathed their last due to lack of proper resources to meet medical expenses.
The members have unanimously desired and demanded that the Government should come to rescue of such old aged single soul/two soul families by granting Rs.13000 monthly financial assistance relief to two soul families and Rs.6500/0 to single soul family to prevent their untimely death. |
