| Road side dental experts putting lives of people at risk | | |  Asif Iqbal Naik

Srinagar, Aug 11: After the arrest of a fake doctor and sealing of the public clinics run by the unregistered doctors and even by some teachers, the road side dental experts are putting the lives of the people at risk here.
As per the details available with Early Times, these road side dental experts are using unhygienic instruments to treat dental patients on roads, mostly the poor who have no knowledge of the highly technical job.
These quacks are seen `practicing ' in the heart of Srinagar city in Batmaloo area, barely few metres away from valley's top medical college and prime health institutions.
These quacks even claim to treat ophthalmic problems. The instruments used by them are never sterilised and can cause infection.
They also fix artificial teeth which , according to experts is very dangerous and may lead to serious complications.
Speaking to Early Times, the people called on the government to launch a major crackdown on such quacks. |
