| Vehicles with press stickers harass women in Kupwara | | |  Early Times Report
Kupwara, Aug 11: A number of vehicles with PRESS stickers have been noticed in Kupwara. According to the locals, the vehicles are not owned by journalists. "They are run by unscrupulous elements whose favourite pass time is to harass women," they said.
According to locals some persons using bikes, cars and SUVs with PRESS stickers are used to harass women and to commit other crimes.
Sources said that these vehicles are seen running on Kupwara roads all the time especially on along the Degree college Kupwara road to Tangdar highway. Sources added that some of them are involved in many immoral activities like eve teasing and drugs.
Numbers of girls who study in GDC Kupwara have also accused them of harassment. ''We usually walk to cover distance between college and our homes, but sometimes persons in vehicles with press stickers pass vulgar comments at us . We feel scared. We don't know whether they are fake or real,'' said one of the female student. |
