JAMMU, Aug 16: DPS Jammu today organized a Hindi poems recitation competition for the students of class II. The topic of the event was 'Veer Ras'. The students showcased their talents by presenting a variety of good poems composed by Ramdhari Singh Dinkar, Suryakant Tripathi Nirala, Subhadra Kumari Chauhan, Harivansh Rai Bachchan etc. The listeners were mesmerized by the confidence and enthusiasm exhibited by the students.
The first place went to Somanshi Singh (II-F) and Yasha Shree Sharma (II-A), Ujjwal Reet Kour (II-B) and Sanchi Gupta (II-E) stood second while the third prize was shared by Snigdha Aggarwal (II-G) and Nishtha (II-H). Consolation prizes were also given to Chirag Luthra (II-F), Aashreiya Sharma (II-i), Mohd Numan Bhat (II-G) and Amber Raina (II-J).
The competition was judged by Rohina Gupta and Anuradha Rance.
Speaking on the occasion, Principal DPS, Jammu Ruchi Chabra congratulated the students for their brilliant performance and stated such competitions offer an opportunity to develop competitive stills among the students. |
