A soldier was martyred in an encounter with terrorists at Jammu and Kashmir's Kupwara district today. The encounter is going on.
The encounter broke out when soldiers, based on intelligence inputs, went to Karalgund in the district to look for terrorists hiding in the area.
Troops of 92 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force, 32 Rashtriya Rifles and Special Operations Group have cordoned off the area, and a search operation is underway.
