SPCB team visits industrial area | | | Early Times Report samba, Aug 21: A team of State Pollution Control Board today visited various industrial units located at SIDCO Phase-I Samba and reviewed their work. The team was headed by Shelly Ranjan Regional Director State Pollution control Board, BM Sharma Member secretary, Dr Yash Pal Sharma Senior Scientist, Ashok Gupta AEE and Angrez Singh District Officer Samba also present during the visit. The team inspects in various industries of samba SIDCO Phase one Samba and gave instructions to the industrialist to follow the proper norms of Pollution control board. The team also appreciated the work of the industries. They also appealed to the industries owner the waste material of the industries not thrown in the drains. Later a deputation of the workers of the Congress labour cell samba meets with State Pollution Control Board team. The deputation held under the leadership of Gambir Singh Sambyal General Secretary Congress Labour cell Jammu and Kashmir. They said that in the year of 2002 hundreds of industries put in SIDCO Phase one samba and the unemployed youth of samba got worked in the different industries and earning their livelihoods but due to changes in government policies, the employment stopped there and the employment has come to the brink of closure, because of which the unemployed crowd is increasing day by day. They also demanded in front of team to establish the common waste plant treatment plant in samba and the quality of borewell water inside the factory should be checked from time to time, cleanliness of the drains time to time through department and immediately ban on polythene. Team listen their grievances and assured them the problem will be resolves soon. Among other those present including Naresh Sharma, Sahil Sharma, Ashok Bhatti, romi Singh and Jagdish Singh. |
