Nexus between pvt coaches-sports authorities exposed
Despite orders, coaches taking classes in Indoor Sports Complex

Early Times Report
Jammu, Aug 21: An unholy nexus between sports authorities and private coaches of skating has been exposed, as despite orders issued by the Divisional Sports Officer (J), J&K State Sports Council Jammu debarring the private coaches to take classes at skating rink at Indoor Sports Complex as private coaches are still taking classes in the stadium premises.
The orders issued by the sports authorities were issued just to hoodwink the higher authorities and parents of the skaters.
It is pertinent to mention here that Divisional Sports Officer (J), J&K State Sports Council Jammu issued an order which reads: "As per the directions of Secretary, J&K State Sports Council and decision taken by committee headed by Joint secretary (J), J&K State Sports Council, you are hereby directed to stop taking classes at skating rink at Indoor Sports Complex till further order."
However, after issuance of orders to stop taking classes at skating rink at Indoor Sports Complex, the private coaches are still teaching the budding players in lieu of selling sports items to the players.
It is crystal clear that the orders issued by the sports authorities for debarring the private coaches for taking classes at skating rink at Indoor Sports Complex was just an eye wash as the private coaches can be noticed practising skaters on government infrastructure.
A parent talking to Early Times alleged that some of the officers in the sports council share the bounty from private coaches who also sell sports items to the skaters using the government infrastructure for their personal gains.
"Coaches need to motivate athletes and establish the right conditions for learning. Effective coaches have many skills. They should, for instance, be good communicators and have a working knowledge of the learning processes, and of the teaching methods, training principles, and assessment procedures associated with their sport", they asserted.
However, a government coach for skaters has been appointed by the authorities, but as the numbers of the skaters is large, the authorities should appoint another coach for the betterment of budding skaters.
