| Husband arrested for brutality against wife | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, Aug 24: Nowshera police have arrested and booked a husband for alleged domestic violence after his wife was admitted in the district hospital with injuries and multiple fractures.
Wife has alleged merciless beating by her husband that resulted in serious injuries and fractures over a petty domestic issue..
The police said that Sunita Devi and her husband Kuldeep Raj r/o Bagnoti under Nowshera police station had some altercation over selling of domesticated animal.
"After verbal altercation my husband locked me inside the room and started beating mercilessly with a rod resulting in serious injuries on my body including fracture in the arm and leg" said Sunita in a recorded statement to the police.
Sunita was rushed to district hospital by the parents immediately after the incident and is under treatment.
The matter came to the notice of police when doctors admitted/ treated Sunita Devi under Medico Legal Certificate (MLC) and accordingly Nowshera police was informed.
On the complaint of Sunita Devi police have booked her husband under relevant sections of the law including domestic violence.
On the directions from the senior police officers from Rajouri, Vikram Jasrotia, in-charge Lamberi police post under the supervision of Romel Singh, SHO, Nowshera raided the house of Kuldeep Raj s/o Yog Raj Sharma and arrested him. |
