ReT Teachers demand implementation of 7th PC

Jammu, Aug 28: To continue their struggle ReT Teachers of the state staged a sit in protest at both the capitals of the state infavour of their demand for the implementation of seventh pay commission.
Teachers from all the districts of Jammu province assemble at Press Club Jammu .The sit in five days Protest call was given by the Rehabar-e- taleem teachers forum (JKReTTF) headed by its Chairman Farooq Ahmed Tantary. In Jammu the sit in protest was lead by senior vice chairman Bhupinder Singh, provincial president Aftab Malik and all the district presidents of the province. ReT teachers were demanding the release of their 7th pay commission infavour of more than 41000 teachers of the state. Leaders of the forum said that they are state employees on the basses of ReT scheme under state cabinet order number 396. They said that their salaries were drawn from SSA scheme in past and they were given Rupees 1500 per month and after the satisfactory service of five years they were regularized under a state government order. They said that they were given all the benefits of the state government employees including sixth pay commission but their recent 7th pay commission were stopped by the state government reasons best known to government. Sr vice chairman Bhupinder Singh said that if their demands including implementation of seventh pay commission, regularization of ReT teachers, time bound promotions, yearly increments which were stopped from past some time by the government were not full filled they were intensify their protests.
