LPG cylinder @ 867, dealers charge Rs 870 | | | Ashwani Sharma Early Times Report
Udhampur, Aug 28: The LPG cylinder used in every home at present costs Rs 867 and a bill of this amount is also issued to the customer while Rs 870 is charged. The balance Rs 3 is never returned to the customers on pretext of not having loose money. Sometimes the dealer even embarrassed the customers by foul language. Sham Lal informed that when he asked for the balance Rs three the dealer said that he is having no loose money. "But when I insisted he used foul language and said if you want to have a cylinder have it else leave the place," Lal maintained. Aryan-a student of Degree College said if Rs three is extra charged from a single customer and suppose 10,000 cylinders are sold in a district everyday then Rs nine lakh is earned by the dealer for selling nothing and only by befooling the innocent people. When contacted Assistant Director Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (FCS&CA) Department Udhampur said that he has no idea of this but he assured to look into the matter and take strict action against the erring dealers. |
