4 persons held with 400 duplicate cement bags

Jammu, Aug 28: Police today seized a truck loaded with duplicate cement packed in the bags ACC brand and arrested two persons.
Police officials said that yesterday at about 7:30 pm one Koshal Panday-Area Manager ACC cement Ltd. lodged a written report at police post Jourian that a truck bearing registration number PB08DS- 4271 driven by Meer Mohd of Kasori, Kathua loaded with 400 bags of ACC cement which do not match with the original bag of cement of ACC and this person is selling duplicate cement illegally here in Jourian.
Acting on the information, Jourian police came into action and nabbed the above said person, seized 400 bags duplicate ACC cement and also seized the truck also, said police officials.
Police officials further said that subsequently a case under FIR no 175/2018 under section 420 of RPC has been registered in Akhnoor police station and driver namely Meer Mohd along with three labourers namely Taz Din, Lal Din and Teg Din all residents of Kathua and duplicate 400 bags are in police custody.
The arrest and recovery was made by SI Anil Choudhary, in-charge police post Jourian undr the supervision of Inspector Shiv Dev Singh Jamwal-SHO Akhnoor and DySP Munish Kumar-SDPO Akhnoor and Dushyant Sharma-SP Rural Jammu.
