Police arrests two drug peddlers

Rajouri, Sept 3: Police arrested two drug peddlers, who were trying to smuggle consignment of drugs in the area.
As per information, team of SOG Rajouri under the supervision of DySP Operations Sukhdev Singh and assisted by SHO Tahir Khan and team were on routine patrolling on Jawahar Nagar - Palma road when a man was seen moving on road and noticed suspicious their movement.
Sensing suspicion, police team intercepted him and during frisking of his belongings and clothes, 70 Grams of Charas was recovered. The accused has been identified as Mohammad Rashid son of Mohammad Mustafa resident of Nagrota Rajouri was arrested on the spot.
Another team of police headed by Incharge PP Chingus Chatyar, SI Fareed Ahmed under the supervision of DySP Hqrs Rajouri, Govind Rattan was on naka duty at Kallar chowk today morning when a car JK11B-3942 was signalled to stop for general frisking but driver parked his vehicle and tried to run his vehicle backwards.
However, cops present on naka duty acted swiftly and managed to overpower the driver and detained him while car was put to thorough frisking during which twenty rolls (Challies) of Charas were found which were seized weighing 350 Grams.
Man running the car identified as Ajit Bali son of Kishore Lal Bali resident of Ward No 7- Sunderbani has been arrested.
