Bovine smuggling bids foiled, 57 animals rescued

Rajouri, Sept 3: Police foiled four major bovine smuggling bids in Teryath Dharamsal area of Rajouri and rescued 57 bovines besides arrest of four smugglers.
According to police, last night, police received inputs that some smugglers were seen moving towards forest area in Methyani and nearby areas along with animals after which police teams from Dharamsal Police Station and Teryath Police Post headed by SHO Dharamsal Karan Chalotra under the supervision of SDPO Nowshera Khaliq Hussain rushed to the spot and conducted searches in forest area.
During searches, four bovine smugglers were arrested and total 57 bovine animals were rescued from the smugglers.
The accused have been identified as Mohammad Qasim son of Mohd Shafi resident of Panjnara Keri, Talib Hussain son of Abdul resident of Narla , Mohammad Iqbal son of Mohd Shafi resident of Khore Bani Khawas and Mohammad Bashir son of Jamal Din resident of Khore Bani Khawas.
These bovines were rescued and smugglers arrested in forest area of Mathyani Gala, Hari Chuma and Dahergalla. In this connection, 3 different FIR's 86, 87 and 88/2018 U/Ss 188 RPC and 3 PCA Act have been registered at Police Station Dharamsal and investigation taken up.
Hours long operation was conducted under the close supervision of Additional SP Nowshera, Master Popsy.
