Example of brotherhood galores in Mendhar

Poonch, Sept 3: An example of Communal harmony and brotherhood that galores in entire border district here , Hindu participants of Krishna Janamashtami Shoba Yatra today stopped chamting Mantras while they heard an Azan from near by mosque in tehsil chowk of Mendhar source said.
Respecting the sentiments of Muslim brethren, a shoba yatra of Krishna Janamashtami was taken out from Pracheen Hanuman temple Mendhar by the Hindu community members. They were chanting Mantras and raising celebration slogan when the yatra reached near tehsil chowk the processionists suddenly heard an 'azan' from a nearby ,Mosque. They immediately stopped kept calm, until the azan ended and then again proceeded the procession with fervour and culminated again at Hanuman temple source said.
A glaring example of communal harmony and brotherhood has been witnessed in Mendhar town as Hindus show full respect to their Muslim brethren who stopped chanting religious slogans and Mantras when they heard an azan from a near by mosque as soon as azan ended the processionists again proceeded for further yatra in the town
A clear message of brotherhood has gone as whole which created history said a Muslim elderly person adding both the communities have been living here with peace and love since ages and no force in the world can create a wedge among us. We are done and with remain always he added
Locals had all praises for Sanatan Dharam Mahasabha president Satish Sharma who was leading the Shoba Yatra procession on the occasion of Krishna Janamashtami in Mendhar.
