| Water woes continue to haunt Poonch people, PHE deptt unmoved | | | Early Times Report
POONCH, Sept 3: Department of Public Health Engineering, Poonch is unmoved even as the people are facing severe crises of drinking water.
While the people in rural areas of the district are without water facilities but the general public living in Poonch town are grappling with potable drinking water since long.
Zakir Hussain, a local of Mohalla Kamsar, has informed that they have not seen a single drop of water for long.
He said, even they have tried their best to approach concerned AEE and JE but all in vain as no one is bothered to improve the water supply.
He said though most of the public is suffering due to lack of water but the district administration is also not paying any attention towards their woes. Another resident, Hafiza said there is no water supply in ward number 6 since long but the PHE department is not ready to regularize it. They appealed to governor to take strong notice of the issue.
