Amit guides Young Professors towards introduce Technological Interventions

Jammu, Sept 5: Amit Sharma, Director, Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Jammu today addressed an elite gathering of Assistant Professors (college faculty) on Teachers Day who are attending an important course while representing various states of India such as West Bengal, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, and J&K at P.G. Department of Home Science (Human Development) in collaboration with Human Resource Development Centre, University of Jammu. This is a four-week General Orientation Course for University and College teachers w.e.f 6th August 2018 wherein Prof. Shashi Manhas is the Course Co-ordinator.
During the interaction, Director FCS&CA Amit Sharma mentioned several contemporary examples and mentioned that youth must be motivated to go for real westernization by imbibing their true values and culture rather than becoming a slave of their negatives which has been termed as Westoxication by a renowned socialist Deepankar Gupta in his book Mistaken Modernity. Young Professors expressed resolve to become change agents of future and assured that they such carry-forward such ideas to their students in times to come.
Before concluding the interactive session, Amit cautioned them to avoid excessive usage of technology which can sometimes become a bane rather than boon and also advised them to learn from the mistakes of Advanced World where introduction of too much technology also led to problems and scams.
