Free gas connections distributed by Manjakote Gas Agency

RAJOURI, Sept 5: Manjakote Gas Agency distributed free gas connections among the poor people under Ujjwala Scheme launched by Ministry of Petroleum, Government of India and CAPD Department of State Government.
Masood Ahmed Assistant Director forest Protection Rajouri Poonch Rang, who was present on the occasion distributed gas connections among more than 100 women beneficiaries at a function organized by Manjakote Gas Agency at Kotli Kala Ban area of Ghambir Mughlan.
AD forest protection Rajouri, Poonch Rang appealed to the people of the area to come forward with documents for all required formalities to take the benefit of the scheme launched by the State and Central Govt.
Shazad Haider Shah , Forest Ranger Rajouri, Poonch Rang D.Upadaja Major 34 RR Battalion, Umar Nawaz Distributor Manjakote Gas Agency, Zahid Rather Incharge J&K Bank Manjakote, Parvaiz Hussain and Qayoom Hussain Forest Inspector, Amjad Khan Ex. Sarpanch Kotli-kala-ban and other prominent personalities of the area also spoke on the occasion and stressed to complete the target of Pradhan Mantri Ujjawala Yojana (PMUY) in the larger interest of female population of Jammu and Kashmir.
They appealed that the beneficiary may apply for new LPG gas connection under E-PMUY scheme by filing the prescribed "Know Your Customer (KYC)" application along with the supplementary KYC and undertaking for expanded PMUY and submitting the same to the LPG distributors. "The gas connections are free of cost under the declared categories notified by the Government," they said.
While speaking on the occasion, Umar Nawaz Khan Distributor Manjakote Gas Agency said that the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojna is a wonderful scheme of the Government where the poor and marginalised sections of the society are provided cooking gas connections. He said that with this scheme, Government has brought comfort into the lives of millions of women who were otherwise using highly pollution causing mediums of cooking which also resulted in the infliction of lung and eye diseases on them. This scheme also prevents the use of firewood and helps in the preservation of trees and leads to the overall protection of the environment.
