"Gurur brahma, Gurur vishnu, Gurur devo Maheshwara; Gurur saakshaat par brahma, tasmayee shree guruve namah"
Lovely Sharma 9/8/2018 10:07:57 PM
Means guru or teacher is brahma, teacher is vishnu and guru is equal to Lord Shiva (Maheshwara), guru is supreme, par-brahma ; So, I bow before him. Means a guru is a person having all the qualities (gunas) of Brahma, Vishnu and Maheshwara , or we can say that like Brahma he gives birth to a good, dutiful citizen, like vishnu, he makes him efficient so that he may earn his livelihood honestly, And like lord Shiva, a guru can destroy a child if he doesn't teach him properly. That's why, it is said , "Shikshak kabhi saadhaaran nahin hota, pralay aur nirmaan toh uss ki goad (lap)mein palate hein."
The word guru is the combination of "Gu+Ru", gu means-guhya or darkness and ru means-remover or alleviator, one who removes our ignorance and make our life happy, comfortable and blessed.
We all know that mother gives the first birth to a child and only then, we can come into this beautiful world. But second birth is through Guru, who imparts true knowledge, clears doubts, and many more.
A true teacher is the real friend, philosopher and a guide to his students. A teacher means "Shikshak":
*Shi (f'k) - Shikhar tak le jaane wala (one who takes to the top)
*Kaha ({k) -Kshama ki bhawanaa rakhane wala (one who has the feeling of forgiveness)
*K (d) -kamion ko dur karne wala (one who removes the weaknesses)
So, an ideal teacher is the master of his subject, knowing the art of teaching as well,. He makes the lessons interesting by convincing his students. In old days , students use to reside in gurukulas, learning all the skills of education as well as day to day's life. In today's time, teaching is not an easy task, it's a challenging job now and teacher has to play various roles. The most common role of a teacher is to provide right knowledge to their students. They have to set class-rooms, build a warm environment, act as a mentor and nurture students, become role models, listen and look for students.
Teachers are the architect of students life and instills confidence in them. Teachers help them to be the best version of themselves throughout the life. They keep on updating students from time to time. They always strengthen them to perform "the best" in life. So, being under the blessings of a good teacher bring the ultimate satisfaction and peace in the way of thinking, a student can live a happy and successful life. They are the giver if fragrance to the students soul, mind and heart. A teacher is the only person in the society, who really wants that all his pupils should be well educated and they should excel in every sphere of life.
