Non-Gazetted forest officers observe strike

Bhaderwah, Sept 12: The Non-Gazetted Forest Officers Association, Forest Division, Bhaderwah on Tuesday observed a strike in protest against non-implementation of their demands which they called as already 'agreed demands' by all governments .
The employees staged a protest at Forest Office Bhaderwah and raised slogans in favour of their demands. The demands that the employees raised includes revival of pay anomaly, grant of two and half days extra salary per month, risk allowances, convening of DPC meeting of all cadres and stopping of practice elevation of Junior Foresters as In Charge Range Officers.
Speaking to protesting employees Coordinator Chenab circle Forest Officers Association Abdul Hafiz Dar alleged that authorities have delayed fulfilling of their demands which he called as 'genuine demands'. He appealed to the concerned authorities to fulfill their demands at the earliest. He added that forest employees in the entire district were on strike today in support of their demand.
Later, a delegation of the Non-Gazetted Forest Officers Association Bhaderwah also called on the Divisional Forest Officer Bhaderwah and submitted a memorandum containing their demands. Other leaders of Association Din Mohd , Sanjay Kumar , Bodh Raj , Jangir IQbal , Sarfaraz Ahmed , Rafiq Naik , Diwan Singh , Ranjeet Singh , Zahoor Ahmed , Bipen Kumar and others while briefing media about the agitation path they have chosen, said that the strike was being observed in the maximum divisions of state and if their demands are not fulfilled, they may resume their strike again under the banner of All Jammu and Kashmir Non-Gazetted Forest Officers Association.
