Farmers Training camp organized

RAJOURI, Sept 12: Farmers Training Centre, Jammu organized a day long Farmers Awareness Camp at village Ghai of subdivision Noushera, district Rajouri in which 50 farmers of the area participated. The camp was conducted under the directions and guidance of Director Agriculture Jammu H K Razdan and Deputy Director of Agriculture (Trainings) Jammu Sunil Kumar Koul.
Speaking on the occasion, Training Officer FTC and Farm Management Specialist Deepak Kumar advised the farmers to avail the benefits of Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (PMFBY), Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) Kisan Credit Cards Scheme (KCCS), Soil Health Card Scheme (SHCS) and various other State Sector Schemes for the farmer's welfare. He advised the farmers to adopt the Improved Agricultural Practices and Technological Interventions especially through value additions and market driven production to raise their income.
Raveti Nandan, AEO, speaking on the occasion elaborated on various ongoing Centrally Sponsored and State Sector Farmers Welfare Schemes and Programmes. He stressed on shifting to Integrated Farming System through adoption of vermi-composting, establishment of Green House Structures and organic farming.
