4 bovine smugglers held, 79 milch animals rescued

Kishtwar, Sept 17: Ramban police party led by SHO Ramban Inspector Vijay Kotwal and SHO Chanderkote Inspector Abid Bukhari arrested four smugglers and rescued 79 bovines during nakas' laid on NHW at various places.
During checking of two Trucks, got intercepted near Nashri, under jurisdiction of Police Station chanderkote and on search of the said trucks both found loaded with 58 bovine animals, similarly two vehicles truck and a tata magic got intercepted near Karol,(P/S Ramban) and both found loaded with 21 bovine animals.
All the above stated vehicles were found involved in illegally transporting bovine animals towards Kashmir without seeking permission from the concerned authorities. Total 79 bovine animals have been rescued from the clutches of bovine smugglers.
Moreover, all the above said vehicles have been seized and four suspected persons namely Mohd Altaf, Mukhtiyar Ahmed, Shamas-ud-din and Mohd Khushal have taken into custody.
In this regard case FIR No. 142/2018 & 143/18 U/S 188RPC, 3 PC Act stands registered at Police Station Ramban & similarly FIR NO.52/18 &53/18 U/S 188 RPC, 3PC act stand registerd at P/S Chanderkote respectively and investigation being taken up to ascertain the source & other persons involved in the crime.
