GCOE starts celebrations to mark Mahatma Gandhi's birthday | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Sept 17: Government College of Education (GCOE), Jammu today started two week long celebrations to mark the 150th birth anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi. On the first day, principal of GCOE Sangeeta Nagari inaugurated cultural program with lightning ceremonial lamb wherein patriotic songs were sung by student. In second phase of the programme, Swachta Abhiyan was carried over by cultural and literally community of the college. Students displayed posters and slogans depicting the life and golden words of father of nation. In third phase, assistant Prof Kashyap Sharma spoke on "Relevance of Gandhain ideas in today,". Vote of thanks was presented by associate Professor Baljinder Kour (Convener culture committee) member of cultural and literary committee put their efforts with great and zest for the orginazation of colorful and inspirational programme. |
