| People threaten to launch protest against non-completion of road | | | Early Times Report
RAJOURI, Sept 30: The people of Kewal panchayat in Sub-District Kotranka has threatened to launch an agitation if the work on Kewal to Targaeen road is not completed at the earliest.
They appealed the state government to complete Kewal to Targaeen road on priority basis.
The member of Kewal panchayat, Ghulam Mohiudin said that the locals lost their houses and land for the construction of the road but the work on completing it is going on at a snail's pace. Expressing his displeasure over the delay, he said that either the government start the construction of this road or stop it forever and provide compensation to those who have given their lands.
He said that we are giving three days deadline to initiate the construction of the road otherwise they will have no other choice but to hold protest by blocking Rajouri to Budhal highway. |
