Students seek road connectivity to GHSS Bhoond | | | Early Times Report
Kathua, Sept 30: Students from Government Higher secondary Bhoond (Sheetal Nagar) expressed resentment against MLA Basohli and Block Development officer BDO Bhoond and demanded 1 km long road connectivity from Bus stand to HSS Bhoond. Hundreds of students walk on undeveloped earthen road that gets filled with water during rainy season. Uniform gets dirty causing infections and diseases to students. Anil Kumar, a student, informed that MLA Basohli laid foundation stone of the road that was at the cost of 11 lakh. MLA assured to complete the construction works within months but after several years the work could not be started, the reason better known to MLA and BDO. Foundation stone was installed for popularity ignoring construction work after that day. It is informed that BDO has withdrawn Rs. 3 lakh for the project work but at ground level the work is yet to start, unused concrete materials is in depilating position. Students demanded compilation of work that would respite 900 students and villagers. |
