| Drug peddler arrested with 5.5 grams heroin, 7 grams charas | | | Early Times Jammu
SAMBA, Oct 6: Police today arrested a drug peddler under the jurisdiction of Ghagwal police station and recovered 5.5 grams of Heroin (Chitta) and 7 grams of Charas from his possession. Police spokesman said that a police party of Ghagwal police station headed by SI Bansi Lal-SHO Ghagwal and under the direct supervision of Deepak Digra, DySP Hqrs Samba, during surprise Naka checking at Sandhi Morh, Ghagwal intercepted one person on suspicious ground.
"During frisking, 5.5 grams of heroin (Chitta) and 7 grams of Charas were recovered from his possession", said spokesman adding that the accused person has been identified as Sourav Sharma of Sandhi, Ghagwal.
The said drug peddler was arrested on the spot and contraband items were also seized. In this regard a case under FIR No. 133/2018 under section 8/21/22 NDPS Act has been registered at Ghagwal police station and further investigation is started. |
