Chatroo man leaves bride, elopes with paramour | Police arrests accused | | Asif Iqbal Naik Early Times Report Kishtwar, Oct 6: A man abandoned his newly wedded wife days after their marriage and eloped with another woman. As per details available with Early Times, on the basis of a complaint filed by the bride (name withheld), Chatroo police registered an FIR No 39/18 u/s 498A/382/109/504/506 RPC against 44-year-old Agriculture employee Irshad Ahmed Wani, son of Ghulam Nabi Wani, of Marmula Chatroo, Majid Hussain, son of Mehraj ud Din Wani and his wife. As per the complainant, the accused inconvenience with the other accused destroyed her life by helping the accused after he left her abandoned. She alleged that the other accused, despite knowing the truth, kept her in dark and instead of shaming the accused for his act, they helped him in his crime. She stated that the father of the accused falsely lodged a missing report about his son so that they could hide the truth from the complainant and her family and thus subjected them to harassment. After going through the content of the application, Chatroo police registered FIR and finally managed to arrest his from Kishtwar town. Later Kishtwar police handed over his custody to Chatroo police who produced him in the court on Saturday. The court after going through the case details sent the accused police custody. |
