Jammu, Oct 6: The Department of Youth Services and Sports has organized "Khelo India" Sports in the discipline of Kho-Kho, Volleyball, Kabaddi, Cricket for boys and girls and wrestling for Boys under age group 6 to 12 yrs , 13 to 16 yrs, 17 to 19yrs commence at GHSS Arnia.
The tournament is organized under the District Administration jammu and overall supervision of Harshi Kesh Kaul Z.P.E.O Arnia.
In the opening ceremony, the Chief Guest Tehsildar Arnia Parvaiz Naik KAS declared the tournament open.
The Chief Guest was accompanied by Guest of honour Santosh Kumari Principal GHSS Arnia and Ashok Chopra Principal GHSS Allah. He stressed the importance of sports in day to day life particularly in the defence forces.
Kulbir Singh PEL , Uttar Saini PEM, Sh.Major Singh Saini(PEM), Sh.Kuldip Sudan were also present on the occasion.
The matches were officiated by S. Harsimran Singh PEL, Sh.Kamal Saini PEM, Sh.Ashok Kumar PEM, Sh Balwan Singh PEM,, Sh.Rakesh Kumar PET. |
