JAMMU, Oct 6: The inhabitants of panchayat Marh block Nagrota today protested against the reservation of panch seats in ward number 6 and 7 for Scheduled caste candidates. The protesters alleged that both the wards have majority of general category population but the RDD department has fraudulently shown the population of SC category more. "We have been objecting time and against the reservation but after one and half years nothing has been done", they said.
They appealed Director RDD to take cognizance of the matter and solve their grievance.
Ashok Kuma, Ravi Kumar, Girdhari la, Milkhi Ram, Dev Raj, Sanjay Kumar, Joginder Singh, Dyan Singh, Darshna Devi, Nisha Devi were among the protesters. |
