Drivers, hoteliers clash in Jewel area, 4 arrested | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 12: Panic gripped in Jewel area late on Friday night when a group of taxi drivers and hoteliers allegedly clash over an issue, however police have arrested four persons in this connection. Police said that the drivers and the hoteliers in Vinayak Bazar area exchanged heated words over some dispute resulting clash between them. Panic gripped the area when the situation took an ugly turn following which police teams rushed to the spot, a hotel was also damaged while some of the persons also sustained injuries in the clash. A case has been registered and four persons were arrested under sections 124A, 457 and 427 of RPC in this matter, said Vivek Gupta, SSP Jammu said. "Law will take its own course", said SSP Gupta. |
