Jammu, Oct 13: The Carmel Convent Higher Secondary School, Kujwani, Jammu celebrated 'Father's Day' in the school.
According to press release, the event started with a prayer sung by primary section. Distinguished Veteran Warrior turned journalist Col Dr Virendra K Sahi, VrC was the chief guest at the occasion and was received by the school principal, Sister Maria Swati.
The parents took part in many party games and races as the students cheered, clapped and encouraged them. It was a treat watching the parent participating in a demonstrated competitive spirit. The Chief Guest gave away the prizes.
Speaking at the occasion Col Sahi emphasized the parent's role in upbringing of the children apart from the school teaching. It is for the parents to imbibe good qualities of mannerism, family culture and moral values. |
