Jammu, Oct 14: National Mazdoor Conference (NMC) has appealed Governor to ensure that the funds under salary head are released in respective departments well in time so that salary, pension and all pending wages are paid to the employees, pensioners and daily rated workers, respectively, on October 25 itself enabling them to make necessary purchases for Karvachauth festival. They said that Karvachauth festival is falling on October 27 of this month, adding that the salaried/working classes, pensioners and daily rated workers and women employees working in the various departments of the state Govt. become hard up due to the high inflationary pressure in their day to day living having no other source of income. |
