BJP gets majority in Municipal elections because of Modi: Narinder | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Oct 22: Former Director Information, Narinder Singh said that it is still impact of Prime Minister Narinder Modi that BJP got thumping majority otherwise local BJP has not contributed being in power anything for the people of Jammu region except enjoying their vested interests. In a press statement issued here, he further said that it is because of non participation of major political parties in the elections like National Conference and PDP that BJP became advantageous and in certain parts independents outnumbered the BJP and Congress because of the absence of the main stream regional political parties. Moreover elections in Kashmir region has no relevance because of non participation of main political party National Conference as PDP has already lost its importance in the valley due to its alliance with BJP by sharing power and low polling .Moreover BJP has not obtained even single seat in Leh and Kargil ,it is the Indian National Congress who got all the thirteen seats in Leh and six in Kargil leaving seven seats for Independents. He maintained that the present elections trend clearly shows that mainly National Conference and INC will make the lead in the ensuing Parliamentary and Assembly elections, because PDP and BJP Government could not contribute significantly for the welfare of the people of the state nor the union government could achieve much in restoring peace and normalcy in the State. |
