BJP-NC bonhomie in Thathri, NC summons leader from Inderwal | | | Asif Iqbal Naik
Early Times Report Srinagar, Oct 22: A day after "Early Times" carried a news story on National Conference and BJP bonhomie in Thathri Municipal Committee wherein a National Conference leader Payrae Lal Sharma who had recently joined National Conference and has been promoted as potential party candidate for Assembly elections from Inderwal constituency had celebrated the victory of NC backed candidates along with BJP candidate and ensured the stitching of alliance with BJP in seven member Thathri Municipal Committee by offering Vice President post to lone BJP candidate Gurukesh Gupta in lieu of support for his close aide Mansoor Ahmed Butt, the National Conference leadership according to sources has summoned Sharma following massive outrage among the senior party leadership in Kishtwar District. As per the details available with "Early Times" after surfacing of the celebration photographs of Payrae Lal Sharma with BJP and RSS leaders surfaced on social media and news report carried by "Early Times", the National Conference leadership at State level took serious note of the issue and asked him to report at party Provincial Headquarter Jammu where according to sources, the party has seek explanation from him over the issue following open attack and criticism from Congress party who dubbed Payare Lal Sharma as BJP and RSS men who join the NC by bypassing the NC Kishtwar District unit and mange his joining into NC through former MLA Inderwal Qazi Jalal Din before the Provincial President Davinder Singh Rana. While confirming the development to "Early Times", a senior National Conference leader distances itself from the controversy added that District unit Kishtwar has no intimation about his joining into NC. "It was not only the state leadership-but entire party unit of Kishtwar District is also shocked over the behavior of Payare Lal Sharma and his open bonhomie with BJP and RSS men on the streets of Thathri" said NC leaders wishing anonymity. He said that after Early Times report, the party workers approach senior party leaders with the request to take up the matter with state leadership over the issue and termed the bonhomie of Sharma with BJP and RSS as "poisonous" for the party and its leadership. "NC is a discipline force-how can anybody claim to be the party candidate --- for party candidate-the recommendations of at least three Block Presidents & District body is necessary-no one has till date made such recommendations for him to be the party candidate" said another NC leader while expressing anger over the decision of Sharma who termed it as an attempt to derail the party policies. Meanwhile the two independent women candidates who win from Thathri had turn hostile and oppose the decision of Payare Lal Sharma with regard to offering of Vice President Post to BJP candidate. After both the women candidates shows resentment over the issue, Congress party according to the sources has offered both President and Vice President posts to them in case they join the Congress party who had three members in Thathri Municipal Committee and is short by one candidate in 7 member committee. "Talks were on--- We are waiting for their response" said a Congress leader added that they are ready to join hands with secular minded people. It is worthwhile to mention that Sharma also release the video massage acknowledge the alliance with BJP in the said video massage which took the NC leadership by storm. Following the development, another rebel Congress leader Mushtaq Ahmed Hap also took to social media and greet the Sharma's close aide Mansoor Ahmed Butt for being elected as Chairman Municipal Committee Thathri. "The revolt Congress candidates have crushed Saroori Congress in Thathri-Best of luck" he added. |
