ICDS employees without salaries since last six months | | | Early Times Report Kishtwar, Oct 26: The employees working under ICDS rued the delay in release of salaries since last six months and called upon the authorities to release the salaries ahead of Diwali festival. As per the details available with Early Times, a joint meeting of employees of Social Welfare and Mission ICDS of Jammu Province was today held under the Chairmanship of Umar Jan Batt, Provincial President Non-Gazetted Employees Association Social Welfare & ICDS, wherein various problems faced by the employees were discussed. Speaking to Early Times, Umar Jan Butt said that during the course of the meeting, It was brought into the notice of the chair that the employees of ICDS Sector working in the subordinate offices are without salary for the last four to six months with the result they are facing difficulties for running their households, and day to day requirements. He said that it was also brought into the notice that the salary of the employees posted in the office of State Mission Directorate J&K is being paid on monthly basis whereas, the step motherly treatment is given to the employees posted in the subordinate offices the employees posted in the far flung area which is great injustice. He said that the members in one voice have urged upon the authorities to look into the matter and release the pending salary of the employees before the Diwali Festival, so that these employees also can celebrate this Festival without facing any problem, beside they have also urged upon the authorities for release of salary on monthly basis."It was also decided that the future course of action will decided in the next meeting which will be held after opening of durbar move offices at Jammu" Butt said. |
