Over 39 kg charas seized by NCB, 2 held | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Oct 26: In continuation of its drive against the drug traffickers in J&K State, Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), Ministry of Home Affairs, Govt. of India, Zonal Unit Jammu affected a seizure of 39.346 kgs of charas on Thursday (a biggest seizure of charas so ever by NCB in Jammu), just opposite to Wave Mall, Jammu in which 02 persons have been arrested. The drug was concealed in the cavities specifically made for the purpose under the rear seat, rear window and in the Stepney of a Scorpio car seized by the NCB team. It has been revealed by the arrested person that the origin of the drug is Kashmir Valley and it was destined to Mumbai. This is the 8thseizure of charas during this year. The arrested persons will be produce in the Court Jammu and further NCB remand will be taken. As revealed by the arrested persons that the origin of the drug is Kashmir Valley and it was destined to Mumbai, it has been clearly evident that charas and other contraband are being trafficked to other parts of the country from Kashmir Valley and all the means of transport are being used such as light vehicle, taxis (Tempo Travels), trains and through trucks.
