| Students hold protest against poor condition of Ramnagar-Chowki Katwalt road | | |  Early Times Report
Udhampur, Nov 14: Agitated over worst condition of Ramnagar to Chowki-Katwalt road, local students held a strong protest against the Public Works Department (PWD) authorities, here today.
The protesting students raised slogans against the PWD and District administration for their failure to repair the road. Demanding immediate repair and black topping of the road, they also blocked the Ramnagar to Chowki-Katwalt road.
The protesting students said that due to worst condition of the road, they regularly get late to reach the school while in case if there is rain mini buses do not ply due to which they fail to reach the school. "Despite manifold problems being faced by us, there has been no action by the district ad inistration and PWD authorities to repair and improve the road condition," they lamented. Some locals of village Chowki, Katwalt and adjoining area also joined the protest and threatened an indefinite protest till the road is repaired. |
