Udhampur, Nov 14: Farmers of Jallow Village in Ramnagar tehsil of district Udhampur suffer for want of adequate drains which get blocked every now and then.
The farmers including women and children today launched an initiative and cleared the drains with agricultural tools. The blocked drains, they said had damaged around 70 acres of agricultural land.
Jagan Nath , a farmer said that the water from blocked drains enters the fields and causes damage to the crops.
Accusing the PWD of inaction, he demanded appropriate action. |
