Rajouri, Nov 14: To continue the mass outreach drive, the Block Medical Officer, Kandi Dr IqbalMalik, under the overall supervision of the Additional Deputy Commissioner, Kotranka Ved Prakash, organised a mega free Medical cum certificate camp at village Tralla of Rajouri.
The main purpose of the Camp is to aware the public on Measles and Rubella Vaccine as the campaign rocked by rumours, fake alerts before launch, but now the department's stronger on social media with messages countering the rumours and reinforcing positive messaging from persons trusted in the community by holding such types of camps in places where there were pockets of refusal.
A team of Doctors, Dr Ghulam Qader, Dental Surgeon, Dr Azar Nawas, Dr Fara Altaf, Dr Depika Medical Officers, Nirmal Datta, Community Health Officer, Masood Ahmed, Rakesh Bali Sri. Pharmacist, Sahil Jaspal, Vandana Rana FMPHW, Deepak Tavar dealing assist.
In the camp, a total 195 old age certificates for pension and other allied beneficial purposes, 14 labour certificate for fitness, 4 illness certificates, 9 widow pension certificate, 23 children vaccinated, 2 disability certificate, were issue on the spot whereas in the medical camp, the Doctors examined and treated more than 135 patients having different ailments and provided free medicine and Lab.tests. during the day-long camp.
During the camp, Doctors delivered a lecture on Measles-Rubella campaign and urged people not to believe in rumours and fake news circulating on social media. Officials said. Senior community members of the area have widely appreciated the role of administration of Rajouri Deputy Commissioner, Rajouri in managing and organizing the events for Public in the far-flung area. |
