| Gopashtami Mahotsav celebrated | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU, Nov 16: Akhil Bhartiya Dharam Prachar Sewa Samiti organised Gopashtami mahotsav in Goushalla of Panchbhaktar Mandir in the heart of Jammu city.
The Gopashtami Mahotsav was inaugurated by Phool Kumar Shastri. The function was started with Ganesh Poojan followed by vedic mantrocharan by Brahmins.
After Pooja, Parikrama and Aarti green leafy vegatables, fruits, Gud and other items of chara were handed over by devotees to Gou Mata in a very traditional manner.
The National Co-ordinator of the Samiti Sunil Sharma also spoke on the occasion.
The secretary of the Samiti Parshotam Sharma made a humble appeal to the people from all walks of life to come and seek the blessings of Gou Mata for better day to day life and better tomorrow.
Among other prominent personalities who attended today's programme include Madan Mohan Gupta, Rani Devi, Ajay Kumar, Parshotam Sharma, Sunil Sharma, Rajesh Verma and others. |
