Jammu, Nov 16: Intensifying its drive against malpractices by the big malls offering lucrative discounts on summer clothing and other accessories, the Legal Metrology department inspected several business hubs in the Wave Mall.
During the drive, the LMD team booked Mascow bag, Mani belt, Bag pack Rain cover, School bag at VIP Gallery, branded clothing and other products manufactured by reputed companies at Wave Mall.
As many as, 9 cases were booked by the team for violation under PCR and notices were sent to the management in this regard and 5 defaulters were compounded and fined Rs 1.25 lakh. The remaining cases were kept on notices to file reply so that cases can be sent to the court of law for appropriate disposal. |
