UDHAMPUR, Nov 28: Agitated over worst condition of Ramnagar to Dudu Basantghar, Choki, Katwalt, Ghordi road, local students held a strong protest at village Choki against the Public Works Department, PWD (R&B) authorities, here today.
The protesting students were raising slogans and block the road Ramnagar to Chowki-Katwalt one hour, against the PWD and District administration for their failure to repair the road. They were demanding immediate repair and black topping of the road.
The protesting students said that due to worst condition of the road, they used to get late from the school whereas in case of raining, Mini Bus does not ply they fail to reach school. Despite manifold problems being faced by us, there has been no action by the district administration and PWD authorities to repaired and improve the road condition," they lamented.
Some locals of village Chowki, Katwalt and adjoining area also joined the protest and threatened an indefinite protest till the road is repaired addressed the protest including Narendra Singh, Mandeep Singh, Sanjay Kumar, Mushtaq Ali, Dharmendr Kumar, Sunil Kesar, Vinod Sharma, Sunil Singh, Rashid Ali, Mahendra Kumar, Kuldeep Kumar etc. |
