AEAs urges Govt to redress demands | | | Early Times Report Kathua, Dec 5: Agriculture Extension Assistants (AEAs) urged the Governor Jammu and Kashmir to do justice by securing their future by including the job period 7,8 and 9 years rendered regular job, w.e.f 1st April 2007 into regular service, in a meeting held at Kathua on Wednesday. While speaking in the meeting former District president of Jammu Kashmir Technocrats Association Sanjeev Verma and General Secretary of the association, Ravi Slaria utterly demanded a fair and honest approach from the government side to address the long pending genuine and justified demands of the AEAs who have been in dilemma over their future security concern since their regularization. They urged the governor, J&K to look into the matter of AEAs who are suffering and in deep frustration because of their uncertain future. They urged his Excellency, that their main demands are to include the past 7, 8 and 9 years of stipendiary service of AEAs as REZ to count for pensionary benefits/under old pension scheme into regular service w.e.f 1st April 2007 with a pay grade of Junior Agriculture Extension Officer (JAEO). Verma told that the Agriculture graduates and Post Graduates and Doctorates were engaged as REZ in 2007 and regularized in Agriculture Department on the lower post of VAEA/AEA instead of Junior Agriculture Extension Officers (JAEOs) in three phases w.e.f 1st April, 2014, Ist April, 2015 and Ist April, 2016 respectively thereby sparing a pathetically minimum of only 7 year and a maximum of 25 years service periods remaining with them. |
