Hill Kaka village lacks basic facilities | | | MS Nazki Early Times Report Poonch, Dec 5: Once a militancy prone area, the village came to be known across the country after operation Sarvanash in year 2002, the Hill kaka village people in Surankote sub division were living in sub human conditions due to shortage of basic amenities source said here today. Source said in the year 2002, peace was restored in the area after the army destroyed hideouts, recovered ammunition and the people heaved a sigh of relief after the village was drained out of the militancy for good. Since then the village has remained underdeveloped and nobody from the administration has bothered to visit this village and take stock of the problems of the locals. The locals while revealing to Early Times alleged that there was no development taking place in the village since long. They said the village even l;acks electricity and potable water. "The village is cut off from the rest of the area as it has no road connectivity and transport facility . It takes a person to reach Surankote at least two days. The medical facility and health care was nowhere in the sight," they said. The villagers are all praise for the army. "But for army's help, life inthis village would be miserable. |
