Jammu, Dec 5: Women of Karate team J&K made a new record by winning two bronze medals in 9th Commonwealth Karate championship held at Durban South Africa from 29th Nov to 2nd Dec.
Poonam Salathia has won bronze medal in Senior women team kumite and Azmat Bibi won bronze in under 21 years indidual kumite - 55 weight category.
Whereas other participants from J&K in the event were Devesh Mahajan, Katyayni, Rajat Singh, Abhijeet Singh and Sahil Singh. Sunil Sharma President (AKAJK) state Karate Association , Ex Minister, Rahil Gupta & Nazir Ahmad Bhat Vice president along with other EC members congratulate the winners parents and coach for the great success. |
