JAMMU, Dec 7: First Pusine Judge of J&K High Court Justice Rajesh Bindal has been nominated as Executive Chairman of the State Legal Service Authority.
According the order issued by Department of Law, Justice and Parlimentary Affairs exercise of the powers conferred under clause (b) of sub-section (2) of section 3 of the Jammu and Kashmir Legal Services Authorities Act, 1997 and in supersession of Notification SRO 369 of 2018 dated 04th of September, 2018, the Government, in consultation with the Chief Justice of the High Court of Jammu and Kashmir, hereby nominate Justice Rajesh Bindal, Judge of the High Court as Executive Chairman of the State Legal Services Authority constituted vide Notification SRO 68 of 1998 18th February 1998. The nomination shall be for a period of three years from the date of issuance of this notification. Justice Rajesh Bindal was elevated as a Judge of the Punjab & Haryana High Court, on March 22, 2006. Transferred to High Court of Jammu and Kashmir on November 10, 2018, vide notification No.K-11017/12/2018-US.II dated 10th November, 2018 and took oath of office on 19th November, 2018. |
