PEECC appeals Governor against administrative in sensitiveness to employees issue | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Dec 10: The Power Employees and Engineer Coordination Committee (PEECC) appealed Governor's intervention on the issue of regulation of daily wagers of Jammu province and issue of SRO for the career progression scheme of gazette engineers. Addressing the media, Er. Sachin Tickoo said that field travel allowance of Rs 30 per month is being paid to the Feeder Managers which by any realms of understanding is unacceptable with the field staff. This allowance introduced in the 1960's is still the same and all representations and recommendations of development commissioners power for its increase have been made to eat dust in files of the administrative department. He added that daily wages of Jammu province has witnessed severe discrimination and such is situation that in Kashmir province daily wagers engaged in 2009 have also been regularized by the recent orders and where as in Jammu province daily wagers engaged since 1996 have not been regularized. There is a complete road block as far as the issue of regularization of daily wagers of Jammu province is considered. Jaipal Sharma, President DEA said the government also failed to issue the SRO for the assured career progression scheme of Gazette engineers even though the scheme stands approved at par with the KAS/KPS by the Cabinet. SRO in favor of engineers is pending where as SRO of KAS/KPS officers were issues immediately. He further added that the technical employees have fought for their technical grade in Supreme Court, still government has not implemented the order of court and High court DB judgment on SRO 149 has also not been implemented by Government thereby denying the employees of their genuine rights. |
