Jammu, Dec 18: Rich tributes were paid to former bureaucrat Chuni Lal Pandita who passed away on November 10,2018. A condolence meeting was held in Jammu which was attended by some senior retried officers.A two-minute silence was observed for peace to the departed soul. On the occasion services of the former bureaucrat were highlighted which he rendered for J&K Government. Participants remembered Pandita as a noble human being and an able officer who significantly contributed a lot for the growth and betterment of the various government departments. They said "we have heard with deep regret of the passing of C.L Pandita, former Agrarian commissioner, JK Goverment. "As a public servant, in a distinguished career, he held the respect of members of the Government right across the political spectrum. He was also a proud Leitrim man who never forgot his roots. The meeting prayed for peace to the departed soul and courage to the bereaved family to bear the irreparable loss Meanwhile former legislator from Uri described him as a good friend and gentleman. He said, "In all of his work Mr Pandita was a consummate professional and a perfect gentleman. He has truly done this State some service.'' People from all walks of life from Leh and Kargil also paid glowing tribute to the qualities of the head and heart of "people's Officer" C.L Pandita who breathed his last at Jammu on November 10.They remember those days when Pandita was SDM, Chisul, AC,Leh, and DC,Kargil. |
